When Interactive Mode is opened, the software asks for an authorization code. Where do I find the authorization code?
The authorization code is printed on the Interwrite™ installation CD. Type this code at the prompt. If you are unable to find the authorization code on your CD, contact technical support to obtain an authorization code.
What software do I need to install for my Interwrite™ board and Interwrite™ pad?
Interwrite™ Workspace is the software required for the Interwrite™ Board and the Interwrite™ Pad. The software came with the CD included with your Interwrite™ Board or Interwrite™ Pad.
If you do not have the CD, you can download the software from http://www.interwritelearning.com/support/software.php and install it on your computer.
Are there are restrictions on modifying some of the shapes created in Interwrite™ Workspace?
Yes. Rounded Rectangles, empty or filled, cannot be rotated, and Rotated "empty" Ellipses cannot be erased.
When the Auto-Hide feature is enabled on a dual-monitor system, why doesn’t the Interwrite™ Workspace toolbar display where expected?
When the Auto-Hide feature is enabled on a dual-monitor system, the Interwrite™ Workspace Toolbar may appear on the second screen while remaining hidden on the first screen.
How do I import my own images into the gallery?
To place all the images in a curtain category in a new folder:
- From the Workspace Toolbar, select the Gallery icon. The Interwrite™ Gallery opens.
- At the top of the window, click the Gallery Menu icon, then Add Multiple Files to My Gallery.
- Locate the folder where your custom images are located, and select Add. The images are placed under the category My Gallery.
In Annotation Mode, how do I get the shortcut toolbar to open?
In Annotation Mode, right-click anywhere on the screen for the shortcut toolbar.
How do I play my own video files from Workspace?
To play your own video files:
- From the Workspace Toolbar, select the Toolbox icon. The Toolbox menu opens.
- Select Insert Media. The Insert Media window opens.
- Select which file you want to use.
Note: this uses your own pre-installed codec (e.g. Media Player, QuickTime, etc).
I need tool options similar to those in Interwrite™ software 6.12. Is there a way to activate more tools when I right-click in the area using the current version of Workspace?
The menu bar at the bottom of the screen automatically changes depending on the object(s) selected.
How do I annotate and edit Word, Excel and PowerPoint files?
- Select the Device Manager in the System Tray. The Device Manager menu displays.
- Select Office Mode. The Office Mode toolbar displays and is active for use.
Is it possible to save files as .gif or .jpg instead of .gwb?
To save files in a different format:
- Press Ctrl+E. The Export Current Pages window opens.
- Select the format you require from the Export As drop-down list box.
- In the Export File Name field, type the new name of the file.
- In the Export Directory, use the default location or click Browse to open the Browse for Export Folder window and save the file in the location needed.
- In the Range field, select All or select Pages and type the range of pages to save.
- Click Export. The file is saved to the selected format and location.
If there are changes to my network, will it affect where I find my My Documents folder?
If there have been changes in your network, you may need to restate the location of your My Documents folder. To restate your location:
- In the Workspace Toolbar, select Toolbox. The Toolbox Menu opens.
- Select Preferences. The Preferences window opens.
- In the Options tab, in the User Selectable Folders field, select the folder you need to confirm. The current default location displays in the Default field.
- Check and confirm the location within the Default field.
- To change the default location, click Browser. The Browse for Folder window opens.
- Navigate to the directory required and click Save. The new location displays in the Default field.
- Click OK. The Preferences window closes and the location is saved.
My Flash Sims will not work. What is the problem?
Make sure you have the most recent version of Adobe Flash (formally Macromedia Flash) Player installed. If it is not installed, go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download the latest version.

Why can’t I switch Workspace to the second monitor in a dual-monitor setup?
Interwrite™ Workspace can be used only on the primary screen.
How much will future software upgrades cost?
All upgrades for the Interwrite™ Workspace Software are free.
When I install Interwrite™ Workspace, will the installation software need to connect to the Internet?
No, Workspace does not connect to the Internet unless it prompts you for a confirmation.
